Open exhibition of the final projects by students of the Bachelor's Degree in Product Design.

On 25 June, IED Madrid Design District will open its doors to the public to showcase the Final Degree Projects developed by students of the Bachelor's Degree in Higher Artistic Education in Product Design.

Throughout the event, visitors will discover proposals addressing some of today's major challenges related to sustainability, innovation, new consumption models, and ongoing social and technological transformations. The exhibition will bring together students, faculty members, industry professionals and representatives of companies and institutions, creating a space for the exchange of ideas and reflection on the role of design in shaping new realities.

To conclude this event, we will have a dj set de Turian Boy.

The jury responsible for evaluating this year's final projects is composed of Álvaro Catalán de Ocón (ACdO), Cristina Domínguez (Kresta Design Studio) and Imanol Calderón (Mayice Studio), leading professionals in the fields of product design, innovation, material research and creative direction.

This academic year, all Graduation Projects at IED Madrid have been developed under the common theme “Times New”. Within the Product Design programme, this framework takes shape through “Times New Realities", an invitation to question existing models and imagine new relationships between people, objects and their environments.

Times New Realities

The objects we use every day are part of complex systems that shape the way we live, consume and interact with the world around us. In a context defined by technological advances, the transition towards more sustainable models and the emergence of new social needs, product design plays a fundamental role as an agent of transformation.

Under the concept of Times New Realities, students have developed projects that explore alternative scenarios and propose innovative responses to contemporary challenges. The projects question established dynamics The projects question established dynamics, investigate new materials, processes and applications, and highlight the potential of design to generate positive impact.

Through research, experimentation and critical thinking, the projects presented demonstrate how design can become a tool for imagining more sustainable, inclusive and conscious futures, capable of responding to the complexities of a constantly evolving world.
