As part of the Turin International Book Fair, IED presents “Images That Speak”, an illustration workshop led by Cecilia Campironi, a freelance illustrator, author, and drawing instructor working across publishing, cultural projects, and visual communication.
The event will take place on Friday, May 15 at 12:40 PM, at Pavilion 4 – Bookstock Lab Illustration.
Admission is by registration; participants can sign up individually or as classes via the following link.
Designed especially for upper secondary school students, the workshop offers an introduction to illustration as both a practice and a profession, exploring how an image originates from an idea and develops through a creative process. Drawing on editorial and commissioned projects, it delves into image reading and the key choices that shape their construction.
An opportunity to engage with the language of illustration and understand its role in contemporary communication, highlighting the distinction between drawing and illustration as a design practice.
