A 90-second journey into IED Barcelona’s creative universe

We could tell you what it is like to study design at IED Barcelona, but we prefer to let our students show you. Let them invite you to discover the daily adventure of turning their ideas into purposeful and striking proposals in this 90-second audiovisual journey

What will you discover?

This project offers an authentically vibrant vision of our great creative community: a place where design flows like a universal language that connects disciplines, spaces and people.

Dynamic transitions and an immersive visual narrative will enable you to walk through our doors to enter a unique ecosystem. Students from around the world share their knowledge, experiences and perspectives in this multidisciplinary, diverse and multicultural setting, demonstrating the power of design as an agent of change.

The technique behind the journey

The recording was done over several days in September with the help of the production company Karabot. More than 30 students from various disciplines in the Bachelor’s Degrees and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) courses actively participated in the project, demonstrating the authenticity and richness of our creative community.

The shoot took place in the laboratories and communal areas of IED Barcelona, located in the iconic Gràcia neighbourhood. A variety of techniques were used to capture the energy of design in action, from drones providing immersive perspectives to macro cameras delving into the details of the creative process and projects.

The result? A visual plunge into IED Barcelona’s unique atmosphere.

This project would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and dedication of our community of students, teachers and staff. Thank you everyone!
