The illustration that portrays the coffee bean as a living symbol of tradition, global culture, and company values, bridging past and innovation.

The Vaudagna Beatrice's illustration project for Costadoro’s Carlotta cup stems from an analysis of the brand’s core values, heritage, respect, sharing, and passion, along with research into the global coffee culture.

Inspired by the “coffee belt” and the ancient roots of Mexican tradition, the project envisions the coffee bean as the protagonist of a visual narrative: a living element that evolves within space, telling a story of tradition and innovation while honoring both people and the environment.

The project 135 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN COFFEE was developed in collaboration with Costadoro as part of the Illustration course, with the aim of designing and produce a limited-edition espresso cup that expresses the company’s core values: excellence, sustainability, and tradition. With the support of teachers Roberto Blefari and Daniele Catalli, and through the development of a concept and an original illustration, students were challenged to visually interpret the brand’s identity, engaging with a real-world project that combines creativity, product design, and communication.
