Academic year

2025 - 2026

In contemporary life, consumption has become a daily, often automatic gesture. The ease of purchasing - online or in person - leads to accumulating objects without real awareness of their quantity or purpose. Over time, they settle into domestic space, becoming part of the environment even when seldom used.

The project begins with observing the objects in my room, sorted into categories. Each group was weighed and compared to my body weight, making the relationship between the individual and their possessions visible through a tangible, immediate measurement.

The Searchlights is the second chapter of Ti vorrei dire, a three-year project developed in collaboration with Gallerie d'Italia - Torino, a part of Intesa Sanpaolo. The projects map out the urgencies of our time through the perspective of a new generation. Ecological and climate crises, dynamics of power and representation, identity, mental health, precarity, memory and narratives of the present run through the works, shaping a collective account that restores complexity to what is too often reduced to a label.
