Continuidad is a research project that transforms the graphic heritage of fileteado porteño into a new language for fashion design, where tradition and experimentation come together through form and volume.

Continuidad draws inspiration from fileteado porteño, one of Buenos Aires' most emblematic artistic expressions, reinterpreting its ornamental richness through a contemporary approach to fashion design.
Rather than reproducing its decorative motifs literally, the project investigates the visual structures that define this artistic language—spirals, curves, symmetry and organic forms— and transforms them into the basis for the collection's silhouettes, patterns and construction details. The result is a dialogue between tradition and contemporary design, where ornamentation becomes an integral part of the garment's architecture rather than a superficial embellishment.
The research connects fileteado with references such as Art Nouveau, object design and volumetric experimentation, establishing relationships between different disciplines and historical periods to develop a distinctive design language. Adjustable gathers, curved volumes, spiral collars and patterns inspired by acanthus leaves turn each look into a three-dimensional reinterpretation of the movement and expressive character that define fileteado.
More than preserving a visual heritage, Continuidad demonstrates how traditional artistic languages can continue to evolve through contemporary design. A collection that celebrates craftsmanship, cultural identity and fashion's ability to keep a legacy alive by transforming it into new forms of expression.
