Gioele and Simone are two estranged brothers, marked by years of misunderstandings. Gioele, the younger one, feels inadequate and overshadowed by his older brother, whom he sees as strong and self-sufficient. During a family dinner, Gioele suddenly decides to leave without saying a word. Simone finds him with the intention of bringing him back home, but instead decides to follow him on an impromptu journey, an attempt to better understand his brother’s distress.
The journey becomes a chance for long-buried resentment to surface. When Simone unexpectedly runs into Giulia, his ex-girlfriend, his apparent confidence crumbles, revealing his vulnerability to Gioele. The two begin, at last, to understand each other. In a symbolic gesture, Simone hands over the steering wheel to Gioele, marking a shift in their dynamic.
But their fragile connection is soon tested by the arrival of Noemi, a provocative young woman. Simone reacts harshly and drives her away. Shortly after, a fierce argument causes everything to fall apart. Gioele finally voices his deepest fear: being abandoned—especially now that Simone is about to leave for a job abroad.
At dawn, on a beach tied to their childhood memories, the brothers manage to talk openly. The calm sea becomes a symbol of reconciliation. In that moment, they discover a fragile yet genuine spark of regained brotherhood, just before heading back home.
