Estira un tirador explores everyday objects as a starting point for graphic research, transforming a functional element into a device for visual and critical exploration.
Estira un tirador is a graphic design and installation project that begins with a walk through the Carabanchel neighborhood as a method of observing context, focusing on a small local shop and isolating a familiar object: the handle.
Beyond literal representation, the project investigates the object through three perspectives: formal, analyzing its shape and materiality; poetic, projecting it into imagined scenarios; and grammatical, examining its definition and morphology. This approach allows the object to be reinterpreted and expanded within contemporary design discourse.
The proposal takes shape as an interactive installation that invites users to activate the object through the act of pulling, accompanied by a visual identity system, posters and editorial pieces. Together, the project highlights design’s ability to generate new narratives from the everyday.
