Designed for workshops and live demonstrations in cultural centres and museums, this modular system adapts to a wide range of traditional crafts, facilitating the transfer of knowledge between master artisans and younger generations. At the same time, it incorporates eco-design principles such as repairability and ease of disassembly.

When a craft disappears, we lose not only a skill but also a way of understanding and preserving our cultural heritage. Design can become a powerful tool for keeping this knowledge alive.

Faber Moduli is a project developed as part of the Official Master's Degree in Product Design and Ecodesign by the student Mikel Martinez. It centres on a modular workbench that can be configured to suit different traditional crafts. Its adaptable design allows the workspace to be reconfigured according to the requirements of each activity, making it a versatile solution for workshops and live demonstrations in cultural centres and museums.

Designed for spaces with limited resources, the system is easy to transport, assemble and disassemble, allowing it to be used in a variety of settings. It also integrates eco-design principles through a modular, repairable construction that simplifies maintenance, extends the product's lifespan and facilitates the recycling of its components at the end of their life cycle.

More than just a piece of workshop furniture, Faber Moduli is a tool for bringing traditional crafts closer to new audiences. By fostering direct interaction between artisans and apprentices, the project creates an environment where knowledge can be shared through hands-on experience, helping to preserve a cultural heritage that remains highly relevant today.
