Academic year

2023/2024

This project explores the first two modules of the Moon Village, essential for welcoming and orienting new inhabitants after lunar landing.

The first module is conceived as a welcome area: a circular space with seating and columns designed to support initial orientation and adaptation. Here, newcomers receive key information about the village layout and daily life on the Moon. Beyond its practical role, the space fosters a sense of community and psychological support—crucial in an isolated and extreme environment. The second module is dedicated to onboarding and is organized around two central semi-domes. Through an informative route, it addresses key topics such as lunar gravity, resource management, and water-recycling systems that make the settlement sustainable. The project investigates the balance between hospitality, habitability, and technical constraints, with the goal of ensuring safety, comfort, and a future outlook for human presence on the Moon.
