An artist residency that reimagines a former factory as a shared ecosystem where culture, community, and industrial heritage intersect

The Minerva project proposes the reconversion of the former Superga factory at Via Verolengo 28 in Turin into an artist residency as a model of collective and collaborative living.

Set within the context of Borgata Vittoria, the intervention enhances the historic industrial building, transforming it into a space capable of combining cultural production with openness to the neighborhood.
The name, dedicated to the goddess of wisdom and the arts, evokes the encounter between thought and creative practice.

The system integrates temporary residences, modular workshops, and public spaces for exhibitions, music, and workshops, allowing the structure to sustain itself through its own artistic activities.

Care is central, understood as the freedom to choose: to share or to withdraw, to shape spaces according to light, rhythm, and creative needs.
Minerva becomes a cooperative ecosystem where art, community, and industrial memory come together in a dynamic and inclusive way.

ABITARE CON CURA. Per un abitare collettivo e collaborativo a Torino is a project that explores new forms of shared living at the site of the former Superga, rethinking domestic space as a device of mutualism, relationships, and care. Under the guidance of Sex & the City (Azzurra Muzzonigro and Florencia Andreola), with the support of Renata Boeri, the students of the Master’s Program in Interior Design of IED Turin developed proposals capable of responding to contemporary social transformations.
