From the desire to return to the construction of awareness

Punto di Ritorno explores youth mobility from Southern to Northern Italy, focusing on young people from Puglia who, after moving away for study or work, begin to question the possibility of returning to their place of origin. The thesis frames return not as an immediate or linear decision, but as a process shaped by desires, doubts, expectations, constraints and possible futures.

The project proposes an orientation programme structured into three phases: Readiness, Connection and Enabling. Through a digital platform, a physical booklet, reflective exercises, maps, visual feedback and exchanges with mentors who have already experienced similar paths, Punto di Ritorno helps users understand their own position before making a choice. Rather than offering a single answer, the project creates a space to turn the desire to return into a clearer, more sustainable and conscious path.
