Multidisciplinary project exploring the dream world’s ability to reveal hidden emotional patterns and symbolic connections between individuals

A multidisciplinary project (including an interactive website, an installation, a book, packaging, and a series of posters) that explores the fascinating world of dreams and their ability to reveal hidden emotional patterns and symbolic connections between individuals. ‘Somnia’ is based on the idea that dreams are not only personal, but can also reflect collective human experiences.

Using a unique graphic system, dream motifs are transformed into visual symbolic patterns. Users enter a description of their dream on the website, and the system reveals their personal pattern by choosing colours based on emotional tone, evaluating the level of realism to define the composition, and identifying key themes to select appropriate symbolic elements. In this way, ‘Somnia’ creates a shared space where individual experiences are integrated into a larger collective narrative.

The project also includes a textile installation composed of draped patterns printed on satin, accompanied by a dream book, which encourages users to interact, explore and connect with others through shared dream themes and a common visual language.
