Space Care addresses one of the most critical needs of life on Mars: medical care and physical rehabilitation.
After long periods in microgravity, astronauts arrive with significant loss of muscle strength and bone density, while daily Martian activities demand high physical effort. The project defines an integrated system of spaces dedicated to recovery, fitness maintenance, and healthcare, ensuring health and operational capability in the long term. Space Care is organized into four specialized modules: two dedicated to fitness and two to medicine. The fitness modules include a space for strength, endurance, and cardio training, and a dynamic body-weight space for stretching, mobility, and flexibility. The medical modules include a surgical room for scheduled procedures and emergencies, and an integrated medical station combining outpatient care, first aid, lab analysis, and pharmacy. Together, these spaces form an integrated care system designed to support both body and mind in the extreme conditions of Mars.
