A fashion film exploring fashion as a tool to reinvent spaces, imaginaries, and human stories through the eyes of emerging designers
The Perfect Match is a fashion film that takes fashion beyond conventional spaces, choosing the tennis courts of the Circolo della Stampa Sporting in Turin as an unconventional runway for the thesis collections of ten emerging designers, recent graduates of the Fashion Design Bachelor’s program. Directed by Ivan Cazzola and produced by Studio Comodo64, the project presents fashion as a tool for the contamination and reinvention of spaces and imaginaries, weaving together aesthetics and design in a dialogue with the world of sport. The title plays on a double meaning: the “perfect match” and the “perfect combination” of colors, fabrics, and styles, merging aesthetic research and visual poetry in an intense narrative that moves through changing rooms, corridors, and tennis courts, where sets and outfits create unprecedented harmonies and contrasts.
The thesis project combines digital and hands-on experimentation: students designed the garments in CLO3D to prototype fabrics, volumes, and materials in a sustainable way, deepening their research with Massimo Osti Studio and collaborating with numerous partner companies in the textile and fashion sector. The collections explore love and the human condition, addressing fragility, stereotypes to be overturned, connection with the local territory, and emotional protection, transforming the garments into narrative and symbolic tools.
