A collection that imagines fashion as a refuge, where fantasy, colour and volume create new possibilities for freedom, belonging and self-expression.
Una tarde con amigos creates a universe in which fantasy becomes a refuge from judgement, loneliness and the social norms that restrict the expression of identity. Through fashion, the project celebrates the ability to imagine alternative spaces where being oneself requires neither explanation nor permission.
The collection approaches volume and colour as emotional tools. Sculptural silhouettes envelop the body, creating a protective distance from the outside world and transforming garments into spaces of intimacy rather than display. At the same time, a vibrant colour palette and references to artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jackson Pollock and Devan Shimoyama build an exuberant visual wordl where imagination, playfulness and freedom replace convention.
Exaggerated forms, architectural structures and performative elements alter the perception of the body, turning each look into an almost fantastical figure. Rather than concealing identity, these volumes function as senstive forms of armour that allow vulnerability to be experienced through protection, demonstrating that design can also create emotional spaces.
Una tarde con amigos imagines fashion as a refuge, an act of self-affirmation and a space from which to remember that it is always possible to create a world of your own: be whoever you want to be, even if no one else understands.
