Moving images are the predominant language of our time: from social media to streaming platforms, from the performing arts to live events, our daily lives are shaped by increasingly innovative and immersive visual content.
In the Bachelor of Arts in Video Design, you will learn how to create video projects that intertwine art, communication and new technologies, exploring formats and languages ranging from visual storytelling to interactive, transmedia and performative dimensions.
You will approach the creative process with an integrated and multidisciplinary perspective, mastering the entire audiovisual production and multimedia design workflow: from developing audiovisual storytelling and filming techniques to editing, post-production, colour grading and sound editing.
You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools such as video and audio editing software, motion graphics, videomapping, live performance technologies and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. You will have access to state-of-the-art labs and equipment for creating multimedia content, both within the teaching activities and for your personal projects.
Technical competencies will be complemented by a thorough cultural foundation, enabling you to critically understand the evolution of visual languages and the impact of technology on the way we perceive and narrate reality. This will help you develop a personal perspective and adapt to a rapidly changing and constantly evolving environment.
Guided by a faculty of professionals working across various video disciplines, and through interaction with key partners in the creative and production industries, you will explore numerous applications of video design within the creative industries: from audiovisual production in artistic, cinematic and television contexts to communication and advertising, from fashion to entertainment and from live events to the broader performing arts landscape.
