IED Barcelona returns to Automobile Barcelona from 10 to 18 May. At stand A124 in Hall 1 of the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona, it will recreate the atmosphere of a specialised design workshop-laboratory. Through a range of activities, it will show visitors what automotive design entails and how its creative process is developed.
“Talent Time x IED. Play design. Show us your skills”
If you are between 15 and 18 years old and want to delve into the world of car design sketching, this two-hour workshop, led by IED Barcelona Transportation students and alumni, will teach you how to put your ideas onto paper.
Sessions at stand A124 in Hall 1:
- Saturday 10 and 17 May, from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm
- Sunday 11 and 18 May, from 11 am to 1 pm
Free workshop with a limited capacity of 15 people per session and on a first-come, first-served basis. The necessary materials for the workshop will be provided by the organisers.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Third edition of the Sketching Marathon
On Friday 16 May from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm, 50 Transportation Design students from IED Barcelona, equipped with pencils and notebooks and led by a teacher, will move around around the trade show, visiting the different stands to hand-draw dynamic sketches of cars for three hours in this latest edition of the Sketching Marathon.
An expert jury will decide on the winner, who will travel to Turin, Italy, this autumn, where they will compete in the latest edition of the Design Sketch Battle for Ferrari.
