IED masterclass in frames of Eurasian Fashion Week
Eurasian Fashion Week in collaboration with IED - Istituto Europeo di Design, is happy to announce the masterclass in frames of Fashion for Future Contest
Jury member Fabricio Pérez Martínez, who is a Coordinator of Fashion Design Course, the University of Westminster-validated BA at IED Barcelona, Spain, will hold a public masterclass.
The Importance of Craftsmanship in the Creative Process
We will demonstrate to the designers ways to use traditional features but not replicating them. Professor will help to find personal and fresh solutions illustrated with examples of dos and don'ts. Students will learn traditional techniques introduction (print, weaving / embroidering, tailoring); iconic elements and their meaning; examples in designers' work: Tom Browne, Dior, Maison Hermes, Isabel Marant, Valentino; difference between fashion awareness and traditional costumes.
As a result of the lecture designers will reflect each individual's aesthetic universe in the fresh way and blend in with styles.

You will be able to show your portfolio to the Professor and ask all sorts of questions regarding educational offers in Italy and Spain, application for admissions, scholarship contests and early bird discounts for IED Undergraduate, Master and foundation courses in Russian language.
