In-person event

A talk on circular business models and an event at IED Madrid to explore the future of fashion.

On 5 and 6 November, IED will take part in the Latin-European Congress on Fashion and Regeneration, an initiative by Universo MOLA that connects professionals and academic communities across both continents to explore the transformation of the fashion industry.

Pilar Prior Hernández, a lecturer on the Master’s Programme in Fashion Business Management at IED Madrid, will deliver the talk “Circular economy as a business driver in fashion: from rhetoric to profitable models”, examining the opportunities that circularity offers the sector.

The congress will bring together students, designers, producers, researchers and brands to share knowledge and projects focused on textile sustainability and regeneration. It aims to strengthen connections between Latin America and Europe, expand Latin America’s presence in the international debate and create opportunities for education, collaboration and responsible business development.

“El Futuro se Diseña”: exploring fashion’s future at IED Madrid

On Tuesday 10 November, IED Madrid will host “El Futuro se Diseña” (“Designing the Future”), organised with Fundación Entre Soles y Lunas and Universo MOLA as part of the Latin American Sustainable Fashion Academic Network, of which IED is an active member.

Open to design students and industry professionals, the event will explore the relationship between knowledge, innovation and regeneration. Using futures design tools, participants will question current industry practices, imagine desirable scenarios for fashion in 2040 and develop proposals that can begin to take shape today.

The aim is to understand how decisions made today can help shape the future of fashion.

  • Date: Tuesday 10 November.

  • Time: 15:00–17:00.

  • Venue: IED Madrid, Palacio de Altamira. Calle de la Flor Alta, 8, Madrid. Rooms S10/S11.
