This February, IED Barcelona and IED Kunsthal Bilbao arrive in the Dominican Republic with José Manuel Fernández to explore space, emotion, and co-creation.
Next February, the IED team will travel to the Dominican Republic with José Manuel Fernández, professor at IED Barcelona and IED Kunsthal Bilbao, to offer a series of workshops and conferences about space and emotional design.
From February 2nd to 5th, Fernández will visit some of the most renowned universities in both countries that offer programs related to the creative industries sector.
Space, Co-creation, and Emotional Design
In an environment saturated with images and artifice, the designer must reinforce, more than ever, their role as a link between society and the individual, between needs and possibilities.
As designers, we face the challenge of creating spaces and objects that connect emotionally with their users through a creative and sincere selection of materials, colors, and textures.

About José Manuel Fernández
Architect and interior designer. Master's degree in Interior Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design.
In 2005, he began working as director of the interior design and architecture department at Lagranja Design studio. Since 2012, he has also directed the studio's projects in Asia and the Middle East.
Founder and creative director of Estudio Estudio, a space for creativity and design, where Art Direction, Decoration, and Styling work is carried out, as well as residential and contract interior design projects.
He is currently the program leader for various interior design courses offered at IED Barcelona and IED Kunsthal Bilbao.
