At Milano Film Festival 2026, IED Milano brings its perspective on cinema between Fashion, Art and Design.
IED Milano’s participation takes shape through two events dedicated to the School of Cinema and to the dialogue between cinema, fashion, art and design.
The first event will take place on 4 June 2026 at 3:15 PM at Palazzo del Cinema Anteo, with a presentation of the School of Cinema and the screening of three OffiCine short films: Finché morte non ci separi, Freeze and Via Bellezza.
The second event is scheduled for 5 June 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, at the Garden of CAM Garibaldi, as part of the Garden Hub format. Giovanni Ottonello will lead the lecture "THE BEAUTY OF CINEMA! Between Fashion, Art and Design".
Cinema is the collective art form par excellence: simply watching the end credits of a film or series reveals how many professions, roles and worlds come together in its creation. And it is precisely through its dialogue with other languages, from fashion to design, from art to set design, that cinema reveals its full narrative power.
Through images from films that have become iconic, the talk will take the audience on an evocative and emotional journey, inviting them to learn how to look and recognise the deeper meaning of a narrative within images. Costumes, sets, visual atmospheres and design choices tell a story just as much as the words of a screenplay and the dialogue between actors.
IED Milano’s participation in the Festival will also be enriched by the contribution of a small editorial team composed of four undergraduate students: Nicola Scaramella, Aurora Paolomba, Francesca Martino and Camilla Cannella, who will recount the Festival through social media content, interviews and new behind-the-scenes perspectives.
Through screenings, talks and student-created content, IED Milano engages with the Festival as a space for experience, exchange and project culture, bringing cinema, fashion, art and design into dialogue.
