On 6 and 7 November, IED will once again take part in MIRA Digital Arts Festival as an artistic partner, while also contributing to the programme with the installation “Ananke: A Liturgy”.
Created by Malak Yahia, an alumna of the Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, specialising in Motion Graphics and Video, the large-scale multimedia project explores the labyrinth as a metaphor for contemporary systems of power. It offers an interactive digital experience structured around six screens, reinterpreting canonical Western paintings through digital fragmentation, animation and audience participation via CAPTCHA.
MIRA is a digital arts and contemporary music festival focused on the intersection of art and digital culture. With a carefully curated programme featuring live audiovisual shows, immersive installations and 360° projections, among other formats, it fosters lasting synergies within Barcelona’s digital arts ecosystem, encouraging knowledge exchange and supporting the professional development of the creative sector, as well as raising its profile across Europe.
