Once again, the Papelera Building opened its doors to the public, showcasing the work developed by students over four years of study and turning the school into a meeting point for design, culture, industry and institutions
On 2 July, IED Kunsthal Bilbao hosted the third edition of its Degree Show, a public event where students, professionals, companies, institutions, families and visitors came together to discover the 39 Final Degree Projects created by students from the Bachelor's Degrees in Fashion, Product, Interior and Graphic Design, alongside the Fashion Show presented by the Fashion Design graduates.
More than an exhibition of final projects, the Degree Show represents a moment when the school opens itself to its surroundings. For one day, the work developed in the classroom enters into dialogue with the city, encouraging exchange between students and professionals while demonstrating how design can offer new perspectives on issues such as housing, mental health, digital privacy and urban regeneration.
This year's edition also coincided with the 60th anniversary of IED, marking a particularly significant year for the institution, which has recently been ranked among the world's top 100 institutions for Art & Design in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
