Two hundred young creatives CALLED TO THE ARTS to generate critical thinking, raise questions, and challenge imaginaries around the complex and urgent issues of our time.
IED Factory is a space for collective activation and research that uses the arts as a practice of attention, responsibility, and critical positioning. Since 2009, it has invited internationally renowned artists each year to lead week-long interdisciplinary workshops open to all second-year students.
The world around us is complex and often overwhelming: climate emergency, wars, political instability, and artificial intelligence increasingly shaping our lives.
Today more than ever, taking a stand is imperative—and young people are ready to respond: from February 23 to 27, two hundred young creatives will take part in an intensive week of interdisciplinary workshops, engaging with nine curators from diverse artistic backgrounds.
Through the language of contemporaneity, they are called to reflect on urgent themes such as identity, resistance, the body, relationships, and speed—generating critical thinking, raising questions, and challenging imaginaries.
In this context, design becomes an active tool of survival and responsibility, capable of connecting languages, bodies, technologies, and identities.
The week opens with a talk by Tommaso Ricci, digital marketing expert and Co-founder & Managing Partner of Mambo, offering insights into social media platforms—their languages, mechanisms, ethical implications, and practical strategies for creating effective content.
The program culminates in a public presentation of the projects: a visual and cultural experience with a festive and dynamic atmosphere.
