After earning her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design at IED Roma, Elisa Vincenzi began her professional journey with a project of remarkable visibility already to her name.
During her final year of study, she collaborated directly with Honda, independently designing the commemorative vehicle wrap created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Honda Jazz. From concept development and technical file preparation to overseeing the application process on the vehicle, Elisa managed every stage of the project. What began as an academic assignment evolved into a tangible professional achievement: the car will be showcased at EICMA 2026, one of the world's leading international events dedicated to the motorcycle industry.
Only a few weeks after graduation, IED's ongoing support in facilitating connections with the professional world led to several internship opportunities.
We asked Elisa to reflect on how her years at IED helped shape her design methodology and prepared her to transition confidently from education to professional practice.
"At 22 years old, with my degree freshly in hand, I can confidently say that the three-year Graphic Design programme at IED (2023-2026) represented a fundamental milestone in my education. Throughout my studies, I learned to view graphic design not simply as a visual outcome, but as a process driven by research, experimentation, and informed design decisions. These three years allowed me to develop both a strong visual culture and a working methodology that now form the foundation of my approach to design.
During my final year, I had the privilege of working directly with an international brand such as Honda, taking full responsibility for an individual project. For the 25th anniversary of the Honda Jazz, I designed a commemorative vehicle wrap, managing the creative development, the technical preparation of production files, and supporting the installation process on the car itself. Seeing my idea take shape beyond the screen was a defining moment, as it allowed me to engage with aspects of the profession that extend well beyond the design phase alone. As a result, my work materialised into a celebratory vehicle that will be exhibited at EICMA 2026, bringing my project to one of the leading international events in the motorcycle industry.
Even after graduation, IED continued to support my entry into the professional world by fostering connections with a variety of organisations and industry partners. Within a month of graduating, I received several internship offers and was able to choose to begin my career at Accenture Song, an international company operating at the forefront of creative and digital innovation.
This experience provided me with far more than technical skills alone. It gave me the opportunity to work on real-world briefs and take on significant responsibilities while I was still a student. It is thanks to this unique combination of theory and practice that I can now approach the transition from education to professional life with a strong sense of awareness, confidence, and preparedness."
