‘TDC 70 Exhibition’: From New York to Barcelona

IED Barcelona is hosting the ‘TDC 70 Exhibition’, a selection of the winning works from the 70th annual international competition of the Type Directors Club of New York, the world’s leading community for this design discipline.
The exhibition celebrates the best in type, calligraphy and lettering design and their applications in editorial, branding and posters, including everything from bold experiments to more subtle proposals of precise type design, representing the full spectrum of creativity and craftsmanship in this field.
The ‘TDC 70 Exhibition’ will be on show at the IED Barcelona facilities until 31 March, and will then travel to IED Bilbao and IED Madrid, dedicated to the great community of designers and creatives at IED.
The Type Directors Club was founded in 1946. In 1953 it established the first annual competition to recognise outstanding work in the profession, opening it up to non-members in 1956.
