Following its presentation at IED Madrid and ahead of its move to IED Kunsthal Bilbao, the latest edition of the international exhibition, an initiative promoted by IED since 2022, was on display to coincide with the Barcelona campus’s activities as part of Barcelona Design Week

From 14 to 23 October, coinciding with the campus’s activities as part of Barcelona Design Week, IED Barcelona hosted the exhibition “Valor Ancestral: Latam Creative Talent 2026”, an international initiative promoted by the Istituto Europeo di Design since 2022.

Centred around the concept of Valor Ancestral, “Latam Creative Talent 2026” brings together projects from different Latin American countries that reinterpret traditional knowledge, craftsmanship, territory and cultural memory from a contemporary, sustainable and critical perspective.

Previously presented at IED Madrid, this travelling exhibition will subsequently move on to IED Kunsthal Bilbao. It features a selection of projects by our cultural partners in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic, reflecting the region’s cultural richness and its connections with Europe.
