The project envisions a motorcycle designed for the "Corona Generation"—those born between 2005 and 2015—combining urban mobility with a spirit of exploration.

The UM 125X is a versatile motorcycle conceived to perform both in the city and on light off-road trails, responding to the younger generation's desire to discover new places and embrace outdoor experiences.

Powered by a 125 cc engine suitable for A1 licence holders, it is designed as an ideal first motorcycle: easy to handle, safe, and capable of growing alongside its rider. The "X" in its name stands for explore, reflecting the project's invitation to go beyond the boundaries of everyday mobility.

The project also addresses key themes shaping the future of mobility, including sustainability, user-friendly technologies, and a distinctive design language aligned with the expectations of a generation increasingly focused on innovation and environmental responsibility.
 

Developed in response to a brief by UM Motorcycles, the project challenged students to envision the ideal motorcycle for the Corona Generation while interpreting the brand's vision of the future and its core values. The concepts were conceived for a potential debut at EICMA 2030, followed by their launch on the European market in 2031.
