The Aquarium of Genoa becomes a way to observe what usually remains hidden: technical corridors, control rooms, systems, laboratories and maintenance areas. The project reveals an essential network made of people, structures and processes that ensure the daily functioning of the Aquarium and, symbolically, of the city itself.
Porto Antico di Genova invited students to explore the relationship between city, port and community through photography as a tool for research and storytelling. The Genoese waterfront became the starting point to observe a complex territory, shaped by urban transformations, layered memories and new relationships between public space, landscape and collective identity.
