A Natural Elsewhere Against the Frenzy of the Infosphere

The acceleration of contemporary life, marked by constant connectivity, consumerism, and digital overexposure, progressively distances individuals from their most authentic dimension. In a context dominated by the Infosphere, the body tends to lose touch with natural rhythms and inner spaces, generating the desire for a new sense of belonging.
From this reflection emerges Back to the Roots, a project that explores the relationship between human beings and the plant world through the archetypal figure of the tree, a symbol of stability, care, and regeneration. No longer seen as a resource to be exploited, the tree becomes a kindred organism with which to establish a relationship and rediscover a profound connection with nature.
Drawing on artistic, performative, and sensory references, the project investigates the analogies between the human body and the tree: bark and skin, sap and blood, branches and blood vessels become elements of a shared narrative. Within this symbolic space, humanity and nature recognise one another, recovering an original connection that unites them in a single breath.
Vhernier opens its aesthetic universe to students, inviting them to engage with the brand’s deepest values and transform them into original visions. The thesis brief explored the concept of “Elsewhere”: a mental and creative space to be reinterpreted through jewellery and accessories, shaping an idea of beauty capable of surprising.
