The story is set entirely in a large city. In the first part of the short film, the protagonist is at a nightclub, spending a night like any other, when she decides to step outside for a cigarette, a way to detach herself from the environment around her.
This marks the beginning of the film’s central section, where the girl, instead of going back inside, chooses to walk alone through the city streets in search of a moment of clarity and reflection. As she walks, her thoughts take shape and evolve into an inner monologue. Her words express how hard it is to make important decisions, and how the world seems to force us to keep moving forward without pause.
As her monologue grows more intense, the city around her begins to change too, reflecting her emotions and mental state. Her inner voice becomes increasingly insistent, building to a crescendo of anxiety and fear that culminates in a full-blown moment of crisis.
At the height of this breakdown, she suddenly realizes she has unconsciously arrived at a kebab shop, where the vendor asks her,
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?"
This seemingly simple question jolts her back to reality, pulling her out of her spiral of thoughts.
