FIZZ is a small urban vehicle concept that redefines the role of the city car in contemporary shared environments

Today, cities are becoming more busy, fast, and shared. Because of this, the role of the car is also changing. It is no longer just about moving efficiently through the city, but also about how we experience the time between one
destination and another

"The question is ... How can a small city car create a temporary social space when it stops?" Inspired by the ritual of the non-alcoholic aperitivo, FIZZ turns stopping into a moment of urban pause: light, shared, and temporary.

Because today, true innovation is not about moving faster, but about STOPPING better.

Developed within the Transportation Design course of IED Torino, the project originates from a FIAT brief inviting students to imagine innovative city cars as interpretations of the future of urban mobility, starting from the brand’s core values: compactness, strong personality, and an unmistakable DNA, in dialogue between heritage and innovation.

The selected concepts were exhibited in FIAT’s “Ciao Futuro!” space at Milan Design Week 2026, as part of an immersive journey dedicated to the evolution of mobility and urban life.
