Academic year

2024/2025

A printed multidisciplinary culture magazine conceived by the students of the Master in Graphic Design, dedicated to artists in residence in Rome at academies and cultural institutes.

FRA. All Roads Lead to Rome took shape within the course in Design Methodology and Art Direction, led by designers and lecturers Eleonora Carbone and Alessandro D’Angeli of NÆSSI Studio, as an advanced editorial design exercise. The students operated as a creative studio, developing the concept, editorial line, content architecture and graphic system of the magazine.

The first issue is dedicated to Villa Massimo – German Academy Rome. Through monographic articles on the resident fellows, the project interprets their research both conceptually and visually, building a coherent dialogue between critical content and graphic language.

The project resulted in a printed prototype conceived as a teaching device: a space for experimentation in typography, visual hierarchies, layout and material selection.
