Hestia redefines the catamaran experience through a synthesis of design rigour and narrative depth. The concept is based on six distinct references — rationalism, domestic folklore, mythology, biological inspiration, the phenomenology of art and Thoreau’s idea of essential living — which come together in a minimal, rational and sensitive design language.
Rationalism guides the formal clarity of the vessel, removing the superfluous in order to enhance its functional essence. This approach is balanced by the idea of domestic comfort, transforming nautical spaces into intimate, welcoming and lived-in environments. References to the mythological figure of Nereus and to the grace of the flying fish introduce a sense of calm, protection and lightness, creating a navigation experience deeply connected to the marine environment.
The project is part of a thesis brief focused on the development of a motor catamaran for Pardo Yachts, interpreting the brand’s identity through a new vision of life at sea: essential, conscious and deeply connected to nature.
