Students of the Master in Graphic Design at IED Roma reimagined Guerra Fredda, the album by Clavdio, through a complete editorial concept, blending visual research, storytelling, and layout design techniques.

As part of the Editorial Identity for the Creative Industry course, led by Graphic Designer and lecturer Valerio Bulla, students took on a project simulating the professional development process for a vinyl record’s graphic design. The brief: to create the full artwork for Guerra Fredda by Clavdio, singer-songwriter under the independent label Bomba Dischi. The students designed the cover and back cover, innersleeve, vinyl labels, moodboard, and visual concept.

The project covered all phases of editorial production, from concept development and layout design to printing a full-scale prototype. A key part of the process was an active listening of the album, paired with a meeting with the artist and a visit to the Bomba Dischi headquarters, offering a direct insight into the cultural and production dynamics of the independent music industry. The technical development included practical sessions with Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and meetings with industry professionals such as Emiliano Colasanti from 42 Records.

Through this project, students enhanced their technical and design skills in a realistic, multidisciplinary context.
