IED X AmicoBlu: Mondi Connessi, Vite in Movimento

For Fuorisalone 2025, AmicoBlu launched a special project in collaboration with IED Roma, inviting students from the Graphic Design and Illustration & Animation courses to design the visual wrapping of one of its vans.

The theme Mondi Connessi, Vite in Movimento guided the students’ creative exploration, encouraging them to experiment with new visual languages to represent the relationship between people, objects, and places. Over the course of a month, each concept aimed to turn the AmicoBlu vehicle into a storytelling tool on wheels.

The selected design came from Thomas Montebelli, a first-year student in Illustration & Animation. His project illustrates scenes of everyday life enclosed in circular frames, all connected by an orange road, a dynamic, inclusive, and accessible visual that symbolizes movement and sharing.

The customized van debuted at Milan Design Week from April 7 to 13, 2025, before continuing its creative journey through the streets of Rome.
