A visual identity and wayfinding project designed to make the spaces and services of the Cittadella della Carità - Santa Giacinta of Caritas Roma clear, accessible and easily recognisable.

Edoardo Bardelle’s thesis project was developed in collaboration with Caritas Roma and focuses on the design of the visual communication system for the Cittadella della Carità - Santa Giacinta, a facility dedicated to welcoming and supporting people in situations of vulnerability.

The project includes the definition of a coordinated visual identity and the design of informational materials along with an internal and external signage system. Its aim is to facilitate orientation within the facility, make the services immediately understandable and strengthen the site’s recognisability, while remaining consistent with the visual identity of Caritas Roma and at the same time developing a specific visual language for the Cittadella.

Starting from an analysis of the spaces and functions of the facility, the project translates them into clear and legible graphic solutions, designed to accompany users and reduce barriers to accessing services. Visual identity and signage thus become practical support tools, contributing to the Cittadella’s daily activities and reinforcing its role as a place of solidarity, care and guidance.
