For the special issue The Year to Come, Linkiesta Magazine started an editorial collaboration with students from the three-year Illustration course of IED Torino, guided by lecturer Jacopo Rosati.
The project invited students to look at 2026 as a territory in progress, to be interpreted through signs, colours and symbols that offer a visual reading of the present and its tensions.
Starting from the brief “Cover Story: The Year to Come”, one cover and two inside illustrations were created, building an open visual narrative. Among the proposals, the cover by Tommaso Ballarini was selected for the issue, alongside images that do not define the future in a single way, but open up possible scenarios and capture signals from reality as it takes shape.
The covers were created by the students: Alessandra Casabona, Erika Lala, Giulia D’Addetta, Julia Sacchet, Stella Maroino, Tommaso Ballarini.
