Màcero investigates the relationship between city, nature and community participation, turning visual communication into a tool for caring for the territory. Starting from the city of Turin, the project gives shape to an activist collective that brings together environmental sustainability, social practices and visual experimentation, reversing the meaning of the Italian word “macero”: from a place of waste to a fertile space for relationships, participation and regeneration.
Through alternative photography, anthotype, guerrilla practices and biodegradable supports, Màcero builds an ephemeral and biological identity, printed using sunlight and designed to involve citizens, schools, associations and educators. The project thus becomes a replicable system of actions, workshops, events and contents, capable of activating new forms of awareness and collective care.
Assessorato alla Cura della città, verde pubblico, parchi e fiumi invited students to reflect on urban greenery as a language, a system of relationships and a design device. Starting from the dialogue between design, botany, art and technology, the theses explored new forms of communication around the relationship between humans, nature and the city, translating complex biological phenomena into accessible analogue and digital experiences.
