In a future in which humanity begins to inhabit distant worlds, SOUL is conceived as a sanctuary for inner balance and collective connection within a Martian base.
Located on the slopes of Victoria Crater, one of Mars’ most extreme landscapes, the project responds to a universal need: finding meaning, calm, and resilience in the face of the unknown. SOUL is not only a survival infrastructure, but an architecture for the mind and the senses. Designed as both symbolic and functional, it offers moments of retreat, reflection, and shared ritual, enriching everyday life in a hostile environment. The complex is developed underground and organized around a central circular core from which four ritual spaces branch out. Each environment is defined by an archetypal geometry—triangle, square, rectangle, and circle—representing different inner states and guiding the individual on a path of awareness in dialogue with the cosmos.
