"Meraki" was created to reinterpret nautical architecture, blending tradition and cutting-edge design solutions. The refined design of the superstructure and the large perimeter window create continuity between inside and outside, enhancing the link between man and the seascape.
Every detail is designed for functionality: the distribution of the decks favours the habitability of the upper deck, while the interiors, inspired by industrial design, maintain stylistic consistency with the exterior lines. A project that demonstrates how tradition can dialogue with innovation, offering an authentic experience, where aesthetics and functionality sail together.
With the goal of designing a 44-meter Explorer yacht under 500 GT, students were asked to develop a semicustom concept in steel and aluminum, based on a reference hull provided by the client. The yacht, intended for both private and charter use, should reflect the client’s stylistic identity without referencing any existing brand. Students are also tasked with defining the owner’s profile—imagined as a young individual between 35 and 45 years old.
