ON Body is an integrated system of wearable devices designed to support astronauts during long-duration space missions, on Mars and in other extreme environments.
Through advanced sensors, it continuously monitors vital parameters, detects anomalies, and sends timely alerts to the crew or to medical staff on Earth, improving safety and wellbeing. The system creates an ergonomic and therapeutic ecosystem conceived to counteract microgravity effects such as muscle and bone loss, postural changes, and cardiovascular adaptations. ON Body tracks these physiological variations and provides targeted stimulation to reduce deconditioning. Respiratory health and thermoregulation are also managed in real time through monitoring parameters such as oxygen saturation and body temperature. Beyond the physical dimension, ON Body addresses the sensory and psychological challenges of space missions, integrating haptic feedback and multisensory stimulation to improve comfort, reduce stress, and support astronauts’ overall health in space.
