A large proportion of plastic food packaging escapes effective collection and recycling systems, directly contributing to environmental pollution. The project aims to counter this trend by enabling packaging and new product development (NPD) teams to identify alternatives to plastic during the early stages of packaging development.
The platform takes into account crucial aspects for this type of packaging, such as food safety, regulatory compliance, scalability and cost.
