Radici tells the story of Genoa through the port, the Waterfront di Levante, Via Prè and other places across the city, observing the traces left by different people, languages and stories. Through photographs, videos and testimonies, the project builds a narrative of departures, arrivals and belongings, where identity takes shape as a layered and constantly evolving experience.
Porto Antico di Genova invited students to explore the relationship between city, port and community through photography as a tool for research and storytelling. The Genoese waterfront became the starting point to observe a complex territory, shaped by urban transformations, layered memories and new relationships between public space, landscape and collective identity.
