“White Noise” follows Maria, a fifty-year-old waitress stifled by routine and an overwhelming desire to escape, which leads her to periodically abandon her twelve-year-old daughter. Despite her impulses, she never manages to disappear completely. A new connection with Fabrizio, a singer as unheard as she is, seems to offer the possibility of change.
