The Aldo Moro elevated road becomes the starting point to observe Genoa’s waterfront through the two conditions it creates: the upper level, connected to the panoramic view, and the lower level, made of shadows, pillars and urban fragments. Photographs, archival postcards and an installation offer a reading suspended between memory, representation and the transformation of the city.
Porto Antico di Genova invited students to explore the relationship between city, port and community through photography as a tool for research and storytelling. The Genoese waterfront became the starting point to observe a complex territory, shaped by urban transformations, layered memories and new relationships between public space, landscape and collective identity.
