Didactical Project - Undergraduate Course in Sound Design - IED Roma

A series of original electronic music live performances challenging students to design and perform their own live audio sets.

As part of the Interactive Systems 1 course, second-year students from the Undergraduate course in Sound Design develop an original electronic music performance as their final assessment under the guidance of lecturer Giulio Maresca. Using Ableton Live as their primary tool for composition and live performance, the exam becomes an opportunity to explore the live set as a design language, bringing together sound research, composition and live performance.

The performances took place at Rhizome, a cultural venue and home to the web radio of the same name, giving students the opportunity to present their work in a space dedicated to contemporary music experimentation.
