Product design is a discipline that shapes the world we inhabit: it transforms needs into objects, experiences and systems capable of improving people's lives with intelligence, functionality and responsibility.

In the Bachelor of Arts in Design, specialisation in Product Design you will learn to manage the complete creative process to develop a design project, from context analysis and opportunity identification through to materialising the idea, acquiring a deep understanding of materials, production technologies, ergonomics and user behaviour.

In laboratories equipped with innovative technology, you will develop technical skills — both analogue and digital — including 3D modelling, rapid prototyping and 3D printing, and you will learn to direct your research towards innovative project outcomes including UX/UI experiences. This practical approach integrates with a solid design culture combining art history, critical thinking and observation of contemporary social, technological and environmental dynamics.

Throughout the programme you will build your creative and design identity and develop a deep awareness of sustainability, eco-design and social impact, guided by a faculty of active professionals and in direct contact with industry companies. You will thus be able to explore the various dimensions of Product Design: from furniture and lighting to packaging and wearables, from consumer electronics to areas such as sustainable mobility and the circular economy.
