Technology, contemporary craftsmanship and business projects: the Istituto Europeo di Design, IED Madrid, returns to AULA 2026 with a first-class proposal
Once again, IED Madrid celebrates its uniqueness at the city's major education fair, AULA, as the only centre 100% specialised in design.
Located at Stand 10A12 in Hall 12, IED Madrid is part of the IED Group, the largest international network of educational institutions dedicated exclusively to creativity and design.
Following its recent 30th anniversary, the institution continues to be a magnificent benchmark among professional design communities. This is demonstrated by the continuous reflection and review of its programmes, giving them a new focus. All this with a commitment to responding to market needs and training the professionals of the future.
Thus, in the 2026-2027 academic year, IED Madrid will continue to offer a solid, consolidated educational programme, which has been updated and revised: 12 specialised programmes for undergraduate students, with five official degrees, two of which are bilingual, as well as its own diplomas and introductory programmes in design:
Grado Oficial en Enseñanzas Artísticas Superiores de Diseño: 4 years
· Diseño de Interiores (bilingual Spanish/English)
FP Oficial de Grado Superior: 2 years
· Técnico Superior en Patronaje y Moda
In-house Diplomas: 3 years
· Diploma in Fashion Business (English)
· Diploma en Comunicación, estilismo e imagen de moda
This year, as a new feature, IED Madrid is adding two new programmes:
Bachelors of Arts (Honours) in collaboration with the Univertsity of Westminster:
· Creative Media Arts (English)
· Fashion Marketing and Promotion (English)
During its three decades of experience, IED Madrid has thoroughly studied the market and, together with its teachers, who are active professionals in the industry, has assessed the sector's needs in order to anticipate the industry's requirements by training the profiles that will be in demand.
All programmes offer courses with a learning methodology based on the development of real projects in collaboration with national and international institutions and companies.
Their projects are the result of a methodology built on work in physical and digital prototyping workshops and the excellence of teachers who are involved in training students.

In addition, for those who already have a bachelor's degree and are interested in further specialisation in the various branches of design and communication, IED Madrid offers a wide range of master's degrees, which can be viewed here.

Those who are passionate about design and want to turn it into their profession can train in these programmes while enjoying the IED Madrid experience at its two campuses in the city. IED Madrid Gran Vía, located in the Palacio de Altamira, an 18th-century palace in the heart of the city with the largest and best-equipped fashion workshop in the education sector; and IED Madrid Design District, its more industrial headquarters, home to FabLab (which now also includes a BioLab) and Visual Labs, the largest laboratory dedicated to teaching with state-of-the-art machinery to turn students' projects into reality.
